Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Manager for our business insurance practice in Missouri. You will manage client accounts, coordinate marketing, prepare proposals, and bind coverage while maintaining accurate policy documentation.

You’ll support clients with insurance needs and drive agency goals through teamwork. The role emphasizes risk assessment, client relationships, and proactive service, with a path to leadership in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in customer service, underwriting, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
• Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, maintain a positive work atmosphere, and develop healthy relationships internally and externally.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate quotations, evaluate client needs, and develop innovative business solutions.
• Property/Casualty license or ability to attain is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the servicing of a diverse book of business, ensuring accuracy and timely handling of policies and requests.
• Direct the gathering and preparation of submission information for marketing, ensuring alignment with client needs.
• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals and bind coverage per guidelines.
• Assist with marketing and placement of new and renewal business, including loss runs and proposals.
• Serve as the primary contact for identified clients and respond promptly to requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
• Assess client risk programs and provide coverage enhancement recommendations.
• Provide risk management advice during renewal reviews.
• Collaborate with Producers and cross-functional teams on client activities and initiatives.
