Job summary

Highbar Physical Therapy is seeking an Insurance Benefits Specialist to verify benefits, explain coverage, and support clean claims processing. You will gather patient details, submit to carriers, and coordinate with providers to obtain referrals as needed.

Responsibilities include supporting Patient Care Coordinators, researching coverage details, and assisting other departments such as Billing and Front Office to resolve complex benefit issues.

Qualifications

• Requires basic understanding of health insurance benefits.
• Preference for knowledge of medical insurance authorization.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage details to patients.
• Obtain detailed patient information to submit to insurance carriers accurately.
• Contact healthcare providers to obtain referrals or additional information when needed.
• Maintain strong attention to detail to transpose data correctly.
• Guide Patient Care Coordinators through complex accounts.
• Research benefit coverage to assist patients with inquiries.
• Assist Billing and Front Office as needed.
