Job summary

Superior Ambulance Service in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Follow Up Representative to pursue reimbursement for services and maximize cash collections by following up on open AR, denials, and delinquent accounts with payer organizations.

This in-office role requires 1–2 years of revenue cycle experience, familiarity with CPT/ICD-9/10/HCPCS codes, and strong MS Office skills; EMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of revenue cycle collections experience.
• EMS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Resolve denials/appeals within 72 hours of receipt.
• Resolve unpaid claims over 60 days from service.
• Review previously worked claims every 30 days.
• Document daily accounts/claims on Productivity Board.
• Handle 64 to 80 accounts daily.
• Maintain strong office and typing skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently and in a team.
