Job summary

Donegal Insurance Group in Tennessee seeks a Business Relationship Manager to join the Marketing team. The role focuses on growing the independent agency distribution, increasing quote activity and written premium while maintaining profitability and high customer satisfaction.

You will train agencies on new programs, explain company goals and incentives, and provide commercial quotes to agents. Expect regular agency visits and performance reviews, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business administration or related field.
• 5+ years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Knowledge of the independent agency system, Commercial, & Personal lines of insurance.
• Comfortable working with larger commercial agencies, and familiar with agents within the territory.
• Strong commerciallines insurance experience and knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work independently and highly motivated.
• Continuing education and insurance designations highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and appoint agents to build distribution channel.
• Provide training to agencies on programs and services.
• Communicate company goals, products, rules, rates, and incentives to agents.
• Provide personalized attention on sales calls to ensure optimum position within the Agency.
• Communicate the types of commercial lines we are interested in quoting.
• Direct agents to utilize WritePro and WriteBiz, and generate personal lines quotes.
• Provide Commercial quotes to assist agents.
• Work with agents to generate new commercial lines business opportunities.
• Develop agency plans with financial objectives including premium, loss ratio, policy count goals.
• Analyze agency profitability and implement action plans; coordinate with underwriting for corrective actions.
• Facilitate at least two agency reviews per year with underwriting.
• Market company products and services and train on new products and services.
• Routinely visit agents in assigned territory to secure quality agency appointments.
