Job summary

Aprio Talent Solutions seeks an Insurance Accounting Manager/Senior Manager for a high-growth insurtech client in New York City. Hybrid work 2–3 days onsite.

You will partner with client finance teams, drive month-end and quarter-end close, review statutory and regulatory reports, and lead process improvements and automation across the accounting function. With 7–12 years in insurance accounting and a CPA or equivalent, you will shape policies, controls, and the future accounting organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong insurance accounting experience required.
• Experience with STAT and SAP.
• Experience leading month-end close and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to drive automation and scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for insurance-related entities and client accounts.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes with timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory and regulatory accounting reports.
• Support insurance regulatory filings and compliance requirements.
• Partner with clients to provide accounting guidance and insights.
• Collaborate with product/tech to improve workflows and automation.
• Assist with audits and regulatory examinations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Contribute to the growth of the future accounting organization.
