Job summary
Prime Controls, L.P. is hiring an Instrumentation Technician II to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation used in automation of large industrial processes. You will assist with system integration, program PLCs and HMIs, and develop documentation for development projects.
The role requires coordinating with engineers, performing calibration and testing, and traveling to client sites as needed. Expect a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- 4 years experience as an instrumentation technician.
- Technical knowledge of AC and DC drives operation.
- Strong understanding of speed feedback devices theory and operation.
- Experience with PID control and control loops.
- Familiarity with Ethernet communications and connections.
- Proficient with PLC and HMI systems and related software.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and automation services on large industrial processes.
- Calibrate, install, test, and commission instrumentation and drives.
- Troubleshoot software and start-up issues; document work performed.
- Travel to customer sites to provide services as required.
- Work with engineers on testing and commissioning PLC systems.
