Job summary
Prime Controls is seeking an Instrumentation Technician II to perform troubleshooting and repair on electronic instrumentation for automation of large industrial processes. You will assist with system integration, identify parts for PLC, network, and software components, and program PLCs and HMIs while testing functionality and start-up support.
You will travel to customer sites, perform calibration, maintenance, and documentation tasks, collaborating closely with engineers to ensure successful
Qualifications
- 4 years experience as instrumentation technician
- Proficient with AC/DC drives and speed feedback devices
- Understanding of temperature control and PID control loops
- Familiar with Ethernet communications and PLC/HMI systems
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation for large industrial processes
- Program PLCs and HMIs; test logic and installed equipment
- Travel to customer sites to provide services as required
- Develop and assemble documentation and user manuals from development process
- Set up and calibrate instrumentation according to schematics
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test apparatus and equipment
- Produce reports using testing data and software tools
- Collaborate with engineers during testing and commissioning of PLC systems
