We have an Instrumentation Field Technician position open in our Addison, TX location. This person will play a key role in the business unit due to daily exposure to the customer and project deliverables. This position is crucial for the success of each project and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Instrumentation: Start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting of project-related instrumentation including transmitters (flow, pressure, temperature, etc.) and analyzers (dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, etc.).
  • Systems Drawings: Ability to read and red-line Process and Instrumentation, Control Loop, and Control Panel drawings.
  • Motor Control Equipment: Troubleshooting 480VAC distribution and motor control equipment, adhering to safety standards.
  • PLC Equipment: Troubleshooting PLC and relay systems.
  • Equipment Modifications: Making necessary mechanical and electrical modifications in the field.
  • Computer/Networking: Installation and start-up of computer and networking equipment.
  • General administrative tasks such as paperwork, copying, printing, and using a computer.
Qualifications
  • Technical Associates degree or equivalent experience/training.
  • Over 2 years' experience in instrumentation, system drawings, motor control, PLC, telemetry, or networking equipment.
  • Effective and professional interaction with customers and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to client sites.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands

Full dexterity required; ladder, confined space access, hand tools use; ability to work in various temperature and environmental conditions, including heights, moisture, and exposure to hazardous materials.

Work may involve irregular hours, on-call duties, and travel.
