Field Service Technician, Crew Based, Commercial

Overview

As a Commercial Field Service Technician, you will work across Tesla to troubleshoot and ensure the success of our Commercial Energy field services. Your responsibilities include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Tesla’s commercial products, such as solar PV systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle chargers, with a primary focus on solar PV systems. This role requires 100% travel within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states).

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the layout and assembly of solar modules, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment.
2. Organize trucks for installations and removals, ensuring efficiency and safety.
3. Perform preventive maintenance on commercial PV systems and mentor team members as needed.
4. Respond to corrective maintenance cases and update case logs accurately.
5. Address customer concerns regarding system performance or functionality.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with PV equipment and installation, preferably in commercial or utility-scale projects, with strong electrical knowledge.
• Experience with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and computer applications.
• Ability to work at heights, in extreme environments, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of working long hours, including climbing ladders and working on rooftops, while adhering to OSHA fall protection standards.
• Valid driver’s license.
