This position reports to

Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service work according to customer orders and expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timelines and expectations. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in Chicago, IL. You will mainly be responsible for:

1. Working with the customer on-site to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
2. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
3. Preparing material lists needed for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
4. Acting as a trainer when needed for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma with 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred; experience in servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively at various organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Moderate ability to self-manage projects using MS Project or Excel.
• Ability to write detailed test plans and reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including occasional nights and weekends.
• Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
