Job summary
Cooperative Energy in Batesville, MS seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician III to support installation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems at the plant. The role involves DCS/PLC controls, instrumentation, alarms, and environmental monitoring, with safety and documentation duties.
Entry-level to developing role focusing on growing skills in instrumentation and electrical maintenance within a not-for-profit energy provider
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 4 years of industrial electrical experience with HS diploma or GED, or an associate degree with no experience.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Security sensitive background screening required; journeyman electrician preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and instrumentation equipment.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS, PLC, and other computer-based control systems.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of drives, positioners, actuators, alarms, measurement devices, and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Use computerized systems to document maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and repairs.
- Follow plant safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements.
- Identify safety hazards and support safe work practices.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and work overtime or weekends as required.
