Calca Solutions in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs and DCS. The role involves performing repairs, inspections, and collaborating with the maintenance team to boost equipment reliability.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or technical training, strong electrical/Instrumentation knowledge, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school/technical degree is a plus.
Proven experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician.
Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and control systems.
Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment.
Must be knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
Perform scheduled inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to enhance equipment performance.
