Job summary

Calca Solutions in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs and DCS, ensuring reliability and safety across operations.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, read blueprints and P&IDs, document activities, and collaborate with the maintenance team to improve equipment performance while upholding ISO 9000 and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and control systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities
