Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, mechanical or related instrumentation and controls field.
• Ability to acquire EIT certification.
• Foundational understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and I&C concepts.
• Ability to follow direction, apply redlines, self-check and document assumptions.
• Preferred EIT certification or FE exam completion.
• Early-career experience in water/wastewater facilities, controls, and I&C design.
• Exposure to control systems, networking, cybersecurity, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with I&C design deliverables for water/wastewater projects (instrument lists, I/O lists, data sheets, loop drawings).
• Prepare, update and organize technical documentation; apply QA/QC feedback and redlines.
• Learn team standards, drawing practices, and project-specific client requirements.
• Develop familiarity with PLC/RTU/SCADA terms, alarms and operator interfaces.
• Review vendor data, track action items, and coordinate with diverse project teams.
• Support field visits, FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup and record documentation.
• Use CAD/BIM, Excel, Bluebeam, and project workflows while maintaining file organization.
