Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks an experienced Instrumentation, Controls Engineer to join the America EOR engineering organization. Based at the ExxonMobil Campus in Spring, Texas, you will travel to EOR operating sites as required and provide I&C engineering support for America EOR assets.

You will specify instrumentation and control systems, oversee installation, participate in risk assessments, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while delivering practical solutions and change management for IC

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/EC engineering with strong I&C experience
• Minimum 3 years in instrumentation and controls engineering
• Knowledge of ISA, NEC, IEEE standards and safety criteria
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience managing third-party engineering firms
• Upstream oil & gas experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Specify instrumentation and control systems per standards
• Oversee installation and setup of I&C equipment
• Participate in risk assessments (HAZOP, Hazard Hunts)
• Implement safety protocols to protect people and environment
• Contribute to incident investigations
• Develop scope of work for projects
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Analyze data to optimize processes and identify improvements
• Recommend upgrades to instrumentation and control systems
• Provide change management support for IC equipment
• Support brownfield/greenfield projects and review deliverables
