Job summary

ExxonMobil in Midland, TX is seeking a skilled O&M technician to perform daily electrical and instrumentation duties, diagnose and repair facilities instrument and electrical systems, and install automation controllers at compression facilities. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a challenging environment.

You will work with electrical and instrumentation systems across 24-4160 V, supporting major Permian Basin operations and long-term goals for energy efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical schematics, one-lines and P&ID’s.
• Be able to report maintenance issues to supervisor and keep operators informed.
• Overtime/on-call work and safety meeting attendance.
• Ability to work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and install I&E equipment such as PLC components and transmitters.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair facility instrumentation, controls and electrical systems.
• Calibrate instrumentation including pressure, flow, temperature, and control valves.
• Ensure maintenance work is performed safely per procedures.
• Collaborate with Facilities Mechanics and Operations on repairs.
