Job summary

EDG Inc in Houston, TX is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer III to join the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering department. The role involves designing instrumentation and control systems for offshore and onshore projects, reviewing specifications, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will work with engineers, drafters, and other disciplines to deliver integrated design deliverables, including instrument data sheets, loop sheets, and I/O lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.E. license preferred.
• 5-10 years experience with instrumentation design and controls for oil & gas industries.
• Knowledge in P&ID, Control Philosophy and Control Logic development.
• Experience with SPI(INtools) for design and engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Control System Philosophy and Narrative documents.
• Prepare instrument data sheets.
• Perform instrumentation cable sizing calculations and selection.
• Size primary elements, control valves and relief devices.
• Prepare and review test and commissioning procedures.
• Prepare construction drawings depicting wiring, tray layouts, and process connections.
• Prepare loop sheets, I/O Lists, and control panel layouts.
• Review vendor packages and provide engineering support to procurement.
