Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in Spring, Texas to join the America EOR engineering team. The role focuses on I&C engineering support for field assets with occasional travel to operating sites.

Responsibilities include specifying I&C systems, overseeing installation, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance while driving continuous improvement and collaborating with Contractors and the internal engineering team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with instrumentation and controls experience.
• 3+ years of relevant I&C engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISA, NEC, IEEE standards and safety criteria.

Responsibilities

• Specify instrumentation and control systems and select appropriate instruments per standards.
• Oversee installation and setup of I&C equipment ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard analyses (HAZOP) and incident investigations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and environment.
• Support projects by identifying opportunities and developing scope of work.
