Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking applicants for the Instrumentation and Control Technician II position to support SRWA Surface Water Treatment Plant and related facilities. Under general supervision, you will install, maintain, and operate control, protection, and computer equipment for water and wastewater systems.

This entry/journey level role requires knowledge of instrumentation and control processes with progression to journey level.

Qualifications

• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in instrumentation and control systems similar or greater in size and complexity to City of Turlock.
• Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED plus six college units or CEUs in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, calibrate, and repair plant instruments, controls, electrical and electronic devices.
• Reprogram controllers, PLCs, CEMS, SCADA and DCS equipment.
• Modify systems as directed including design, fabrication, assembly and testing.
• Inspect, adjust and operate equipment as required.
• Maintain necessary reports and records.
