Job summary

The City of Turlock is recruiting for an Instrumentation and Control Technician, Senior who installs, maintains, and operates control, protection, and computer equipment across the water, wastewater, and distribution systems. This advanced journey/lead role seeks extensive instrumentation expertise and involves supervisory duties within a unionized environment.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, SCADA, PLCs, and related regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and control processes.
• Experience with SCADA, PLCs, CEMS and DC Systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, calibrate, and repair plant instruments and devices.
• Reprogram controllers, PLCs, SCADA, CEMS, and DCS equipment.
• Lead and train subordinate staff and participate in projects.
