Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician to install, maintain and operate control and computer equipment at the SRWA Surface Water Treatment Plant and related facilities. This advanced lead role emphasizes extensive instrumentation knowledge and the ability to supervise staff.

Requirements include four years of experience, appropriate certifications, and a valid CA driver’s license. OT may be required; generous benefits and paid holidays accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Four years of instrumentation and control experience in complex facilities.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, CEMS and DCS systems.
• Ability to plan, supervise and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, calibrate and repair plant instruments and controls.
• Reprogram PLCs, SCADA and DCS equipment as directed.
• Assist with upgrades and regulatory reporting.
• Lead and train subordinate staff and maintain safety compliance.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CEUs in related field (6 units)

Supervision/Management coursework (3 CEU)
