Job summary

The City of Sacramento seeks an Instrument Technician II to install, service, and calibrate instrumentation across water and wastewater facilities. You will work with analyzers, transmitters, and pneumatic equipment, reading manuals to set up new instruments and ensure proper operation.

Ideal candidates have training in electronics or process instrumentation and experience with chemical analysers, pressure sensors, telemetry, and data logging in industrial contexts.

Qualifications

• Formal training related to electronics, electrical theory, or process instrumentation.
• Experience installing, servicing, and repairing electronic and pneumatic instruments and instrument systems.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair and calibration on instrumentation for Water/Wastewater systems.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals and installation instructions for new setups.
• Provide technical support and documentation to ensure reliable instrument operation.
