Job summary

Jacobs in the United States seeks an Instrument and Controls Designer to develop P&ID diagrams and panel layouts for data centers, semiconductor and other industrial facilities. You’ll work on state‑of‑the‑art projects, manage schedules, and contribute to world‑class designs with global teams.

The role requires an Engineering degree, 2+ years BIM design experience, and proficiency with BIM360, Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering required.
• Experience in instrumentation and controls.
• Familiarity with P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• 2+ years of BIM design experience.
• Proficient in BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Design P&ID and panel layouts for facilities.
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of control systems.
• Collaborate with global multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage multiple projects and schedules.
