University of Pikeville is seeking an entry-level Instrumental Music Uniform Manager and Set-up Technician within the Humanities Department: Music. The role supports rehearsal spaces, equipment deployment, and uniform distribution for the marching band, under supervision of the Director of Bands.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Enrolled in music course/preferred Major.

Responsibilities

• Set up rehearsal spaces: Arrange chairs, music stands, and staging according to specific ensemble seating charts.
• Deploy large-scale equipment: Position heavy percussion instruments, amplifiers, conductor podiums, and other equipment prior to rehearsals.
• Conduct post-rehearsal resets: Clear rehearsal spaces and return instruments, stands, and equipment to designated storage areas.
• Manage uniform inventory: Track, organize, and assign marching uniforms, secondary uniforms, shoes, hats, and clovers to students.
• Coordinate uniform distribution: Assist with fittings, distribution, collection, and documentation of apparel during the Marching Band season.
• Inspect gear and attire: Check returned instruments, equipment, and uniforms for damage, stains, missing components, or other issues.
• Coordinate uniform cleaning: Prepare uniforms for dry cleaning and organize and properly store uniforms upon their return.
• Maintain equipment rooms: Keep instrument storage areas, uniform closets, and equipment cages clean, secure, and organized.
• Report maintenance needs: Document damaged equipment and uniform repair needs and report them to the Director of Bands.
