Job summary

Bakerly Barn LLC in Easton, PA is seeking an Instrument and Controls Technician with at least five years of industrial maintenance experience involving electrical systems and automation controls. You will troubleshoot PLC-based equipment, read schematics, and work with HMIs, sensors, and drives while collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.

Preference given to candidates with food manufacturing or bakery equipment experience, Siemens PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo

Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience with electrical and automation controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and PLC logic, diagnose faults, and document repairs.
• Experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and plant networks preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Food manufacturing or bakery equipment experience are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve PLC-based processes and supervisory systems.
• Inspect and calibrate sensors, devices, and control systems.
• Read electrical drawings and PLC logic to diagnose faults and ensure safe repairs.
• Coordinate automation projects including scope, cost, and timeline.
• Support start-ups, changeovers, and outages; resolve issues with operators and supervisors.
• Update preventive maintenance plans to reduce failures and improve yield.
• Document work in the maintenance system and report opportunities to leadership.
• Assist with inspections, vendor repairs, new equipment, and training.
