Job summary

Bakerly LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our production team. The role focuses on PLC-based controls, HMIs, electrical systems, and automated equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have five years of industrial maintenance experience, can read schematics and PLC logic, and work independently during disruptions while communicating clearly with operators and cross-functional teams. Food industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical and automation controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and PLC logic; troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and HMIs.
• Strong communication with operators, maintenance, Engineering, Production and Quality.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo systems, and plant networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve PLC-based processes, HMIs, and electrical systems.
• Inspect, install, and maintain control devices, sensors, and related equipment; verify calibration.
• Read schematics and PLC logic to diagnose faults and ensure safe, reliable repairs.
• Coordinate automation projects including scope, cost, and timely completion.
• Support start-ups, daily operation, changeovers, disruptions; resolve issues with operators and supervisors.
• Analyze failures and update preventive maintenance plans to reduce repeat issues and improve yield.
• Document work in the maintenance system; report improvement opportunities to leadership.
• Assist with inspections, audits, vendor repairs, new equipment installation, and training.
• Train operators and maintenance teammates on assigned automation systems.
