Job summary

UW-La Crosse maintains a pool of qualified instructors for the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online). Instructors work under the chair’s supervision, ensure currency in content, provide regular feedback, maintain records, and may advise students.

Positions rest on departmental need and may not be actively hiring at all times.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department.
• Significant progress toward a doctorate degree or equivalent qualifications.
• Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
