Job summary

UW-La Crosse seeks qualified instructors to join a pool for the Communication Studies department. Pool assignments may include undergraduate and graduate courses taught face-to-face, hybrid, or online, under department chair supervision.

Instructors are expected to stay current in the content area, evaluate student work, maintain records, and provide regular feedback. The pool supports general education and departmental needs; interviews are scheduled when positions arise.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department.
• Certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates instruction for one or more courses in person, online and/or in a lab.
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Serves as initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations.
