Job summary

University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is maintaining an ongoing instructor pool for the Institute for Professional Studies in Education (IPSE). Instructors teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, with supervision by the department chair and opportunities to advise students.

Responsibilities include preparing for classes, keeping current in the subject area, evaluating work, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the department’s needs; substantial progress toward a doctorate may be acceptable.
• Certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses.
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students regarding course expectations.
