Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse invites applications to join an instructor pool for the Dance program. This pool supports departments with ongoing needs to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, in person, hybrid, or online, under the supervision of the department chair.

Instructors are expected to prepare and teach, keep current in the field, evaluate student work, maintain records, and provide office hours. The college emphasizes service, advising, and contributing to student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department.
• Significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post‑baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Education

Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department
