Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking an Instructor to provide engaging and effective instruction for students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics courses. Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, teaching classes, and developing curriculum. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant fields and demonstrate effective communication and team collaboration skills.
Experience in higher education is preferred, along with a strong commitment to student recruitment and retention. This position may require teaching hybrid and online courses as well.

The Instructor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing instruction for students enrolled in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics courses (along with other related courses and topics). This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours; and teaching extended day classes, labs, and hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual helps coordinate and attend advisory committee meetings; attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills; assists in the development of curriculum, as needed; and maintain program computer labs. All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention.
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
