The Instructor for Instrumentation’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing instruction for students enrolled in Instrumentation courses (along with other related courses and topics) in the Industrial and Engineering Technology department, including dual credit high school students. This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours; and teaching extended day classes, and hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual helps coordinate and attend advisory committee meetings; attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills; assists in the development of curriculum, as needed; and maintain program computer labs. All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention as a part of achieving the Institute’s Shared Vision of Growth and Excellence.

Physical requirements: This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine. The position also requires working on a 3-story distillation unit required the ability to climb stairs and ladders.
