Instructor Operator National Registered Paramedic

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Dedicated to serving those who defend the US and warfighters, Nisga’a MOSTT offers Military Operations support and Specialized Tactical Training (MOSTT). Services include aviation and military training, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering, analysis, simulation, and exercise support, as well as aviation flight logistics and UAV support.

Summary

We seek a dedicated Medical Instructor/Operator National Registered Paramedic (I/O-NRP) to join the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) team. This role provides training support for medical instruction and skill validation for the 68W Combat Medic, following standards set by the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) and the Directorate of Simulation (DOS).

The I/O-NRP will instruct a diverse group of soldiers across all MOSs in classroom, simulation lab, and field settings. Normal working hours are Monday to Sunday, 0800-1700, excluding Federal Holidays, with up to 40 hours per week and a one-hour unpaid lunch.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct NREMT NRP-approved and CMSD-approved NRP Refresher courses.
  • Ensure instruction meets credentialing standards.
  • Provide podium instruction independently.
  • Instruct other POIs at MSTC when not instructing NRP Refresher courses.
  • Provide Table vIII Skill Validation independently.
  • Complete administrative duties for MTN courses, including student data management and certification issuance.
  • Maintain all ARC course records.
  • Serve as BLS, ALS, and PALS Program Director and Administrator for MTN courses.
  • Act as Instructor Trainer for BLS, ALS, and PALS.
  • Compile and deliver semi-annual and annual MTN reports.
  • Assist with administrative duties for all POIs.
  • Conduct basic maintenance on training equipment.
  • Perform PMCS on equipment and document it.
  • Report inoperable equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate service for high-fidelity manikins.
  • Work with maintenance contacts for out-of-warranty equipment.
  • Conduct weekly inventories and report statuses.
  • Assist training units with equipment use and setup.
  • Provide course materials and conduct After Action Reviews.
  • Possess presentation skills for technical training.
  • Support exercise planning and operational support.
  • Instruct medical tasks for operational forces.
  • Conduct Train the Trainer courses on medical readiness tasks.
  • Instruct on courses including MEDIC, BLS, ALS, PALS, EMT, and tactical care, among others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong comprehension and application skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working with senior military personnel and managing complex programs.
  • Knowledge of standard practices in the field.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in classroom, lab, and field environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds and physical mobility requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Current NREMT certification as NRP.
  • ARC BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications and instructor qualifications.
  • Annual MEDIC validation and biennial NRP refresher completion.
  • Additional instructor certifications as required.
  • Affiliation with Nisga’a team site codes and recertification training.
  • Experience as a former military medic or nurse/physician.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Contractor CAC.
