Abbott Vascular UK is recruiting a Clinical Specialist to join our Coronary team. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Biomedical Sciences or similar fields who are looking to start their careers in the medical devices industry.

The Clinical Specialist will provide operational support during procedures and training to support strategic, operational, and quality objectives within the assigned territory (South Wales/West Midlands/East Anglia/East Midlands).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and drive employee and customer clinical training and sign-off. Develop bespoke training programs based on customer needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Abbott therapies and technologies, and understand the healthcare market dynamics. Stay informed on clinical studies to support product advantages.
  • Support physicians during clinical procedures, providing primary technical support to physicians and nurses. Escalate to senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Assist with product implementation plans and customer education.
  • Conduct product presentations and respond to technical questions.
Requirements
  • BSc degree in a relevant discipline such as Biomedical Science.
  • Experience in a Cath lab or similar clinical role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology.
  • Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures is ideal.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated, with strong IT skills and willingness to travel extensively (driver's license required).
