Job summary

Beaufort County School District is seeking an IT Technician to diagnose and repair district computer hardware and peripherals, install software, and assist with network devices at assigned locations.

The candidate must hold CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, be proficient with Microsoft Windows, and work effectively in a team while following district policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of three years field and bench work in relevant areas.
• CompTIA A+ certification with Windows support experience.
• CompTIA Network+ certification and Windows workstation configuration knowledge.
• MS Engineer certification may substitute for some certs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain district computer systems and peripherals.
• Install and support district software, multimedia applications and OSes.
• Diagnose and resolve network hardware issues and configure devices.
• Maintain inventory of technology hardware and software for locations.
• Uphold confidentiality and safety procedures.
• Report potential hardware or software problems to supervisor.
• Provide positive customer service and teamwork.
