Job summary

Beaufort County School District’s Academy for Career Excellence seeks a Systems Support / Instructional Technology Specialist I to diagnose and repair district computer hardware, install software, and support network devices as well as online curriculum platforms and industry testing. The role requires a minimum high school diploma, at least three years of field/bench work, and industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+).

MCSE may substitute for A+ and Network+.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma.
Minimum of three (3) years field and bench work in computer hardware and related areas.
CompTIA A+ certification (IT Technician) preferred.
CompTIA Network+ certification required.
Microsoft Windows operating systems knowledge; ability to read schematics.
MCSE certification may substitute for A+ and Network+.
Ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair and maintain district computer systems and peripherals for assigned locations.
Provide installation, diagnosis and resolution for district-supported software applications and operating systems.
Diagnose and resolve network hardware related issues; configure district networked devices.
Maintain an accurate inventory of technology hardware and software for assigned locations.
Ensure adherence to confidentiality and safety procedures.
Promote positive customer service and timely communication with staff and end users.
