Job summary

UW–Madison Libraries seeks an Instruction Coordinator to lead library instruction for undergrad Communication-A and to mentor Student Library Instructors. You will design, deliver, and assess instructional programs, collaborate with Science & Engineering Libraries, and support LIS practicum.

Responsibilities include coordinating instructional services, developing engaging learning materials, and building partnerships with course coordinators and faculty to advance student learning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing information literacy instruction or post-secondary instruction.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating, leading, or managing instructional programs or initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate with faculty, instructors, students, and library colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Chairs the Communication-A Coordination Committee and provides programmatic coordination of library instruction for the Communication-A undergraduate requirement.
• Designs, develops, delivers, and assesses instruction in a variety of formats to faculty, staff, students, and other patrons.
• Leads the Student Library Instructor Program for Teaching & Learning Programs, including hiring, training, and supervising students.
• Collaborates with Teaching & Learning Programs staff to foster community and provide professional development for library staff.
• Keeps current with developments in pedagogy and librarianship through engagement in professional organizations and professional development.
