Job summary

Murphy Library at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse maintains an instructor pool for potential needs. The instructor will teach one-shot information literacy classes and support information literacy instruction within the library department.

Position is a terminal (fixed term) appointment focused on teaching, under supervision of the chair, with duties including instructional design and collaboration across disciplines. UW-La Crosse emphasizes service and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science or progress toward MLIS.
• Experience teaching information literacy preferred.
• Ability to design instructional materials and curricula.

Responsibilities

• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations.
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or library instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
