Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Educational Support Personnel to assist students under the supervision of a licensed staff member. You will help individuals or small groups with basic curriculum work, implement programming, reinforce learning skills, and support discipline procedures.

You will also assist the classroom teacher by preparing materials, monitoring students, and recording student achievement, with potential involvement in behavior management and field activities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have 48 college credit hours or equivalent, or pass paraPro/workKeys; documentation required.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of common office equipment (phones, copiers, fax, email, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate English language skills and communication abilities.
• Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others.
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile or stressful situations.
• Confidentiality must be maintained.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with preparing materials, tests, grading, attendance and administrative tasks.
• Work with individuals or small groups to deliver curriculum and reinforce learning.
• Monitor students and reinforce positive behavior during activities, field trips, lunch, detention, etc.
• Perform light clerical duties including data entry, inventory, supplies, and communications.
• Support classroom events like field trips or drills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
