Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under the supervision of a licensed staff member, supporting basic curriculum work and reinforcing learning skills in classroom settings.

You will prepare materials, monitor students, and help with behavior management, attendance, and recording student achievement, including work with behaviorally challenged children, field trips, and classroom events.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• No professional work experience required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English language skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities.
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher.
• Assist with other classroom events, such as field trips or fire drills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
