Job summary

The Dougherty County School System is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to lead curriculum implementation, coaching, and data-driven improvement across the district. The role partners with teachers, school leaders, and departments to raise instructional capacity and student outcomes.

Responsibilities include designing professional learning, aligning instruction to standards, and evaluating district initiatives with a focus on technology integration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Georgia Professional Educator Certificate.
• Five years of successful classroom teaching with positive outcomes.
• Expertise in standards-based instruction, coaching, and PD facilitation.
• Experience integrating instructional technology to support learning.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, LMS, SIS and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote research-based instructional practices to improve achievement.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to implement curriculum and initiatives.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to educators to strengthen practice.
• Design, facilitate, and evaluate professional learning aligned to goals.
• Develop and monitor action plans using data to drive improvement.
