Job summary

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, collaboration with school teams, and ongoing professional development to elevate classroom learning. A valid teaching certificate, degree, and experience with at-risk students are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Certification/licensure for Elementary, Secondary Math, Literacy, Science or Social Science depending on assignment.
• Experience with at-risk students and developing teachers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers and grade level teams with the implementation of the Georgia standards.
• Improves classroom management and climate through effective instructional methods.
• Analyzes student and teacher data to determine teaching and learning effectiveness.
• Analyzes student test data and advises staff on trends and needs.
• Demonstrates, monitors, and evaluates application of effective teaching strategies.
• Recommends best practices to achieve desired outcomes.
• Coordinates site-based professional learning activities as needed.
• Conducts professional development at the school as needed.
• Utilizes the coaching cycle to support teacher development.
• Attends district coach meetings and redelivers essential professional development.
• Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment.
• Participates in periodic professional learning activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
