Job summary

Responsibilities

• Keeps abreast of effective, research-based developments in curriculum, assessment, and instruction.
• Provides job-embedded Professional Development activities for staff, including modeling, study groups, workshops, mentoring, coaching, and action research.
• Provides demonstration teaching to provide exemplary instruction and staff development.
• Studies, evaluates, and recommends new instructional materials, methods, and programs.
• Directs and coordinates the instructional programs in the school and works with district staff to implement the total program.
• Assists with ongoing formal and informal assessment in the schools.
• Meets regularly with Student Support Center Administrators and Leadership Team.
• Helps facilitate curriculum development and implementation at school and district level.
• Works with the principal to communicate goals, objectives, and strategies to staff.
• Helps analyze test data and student work to diagnose needs and plan instruction.
• Supports innovative educational practices and programs within the district.
• Participates in faculty meetings and supports differentiation to meet all learners’ needs.
• Maintains professional competence through district-provided and self-selected growth activities.
