Job summary

Planet Group is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop online and classroom training, apply adult learning principles, and collaborate with SMEs to deliver effective learning solutions.

The role focuses on designing engaging eLearn and classroom content, managing course development from intake to LMS launch, and ensuring timely delivery within a 12-month contract. Strong portfolio and LMS experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of instructional design and project management experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating web-based training/eLearn examples required.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and applying instructional design.
• Experience developing eLearning using Storyline, Rise, and Vyond.
• Editing/writing skills with familiarity with style guides.
• Experience with LMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create online and classroom training.

Instructional Designer

Location: Remote (Prefer a Michigan candidate)

Contract: 12 months

Schedule: 40 Hours

Pay: $28/hr - $30/hr (DOE)

Instructional Designer | Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in instructional design and project management.
• A portfolio demonstrating web-based training/eLearn examples is required for consideration for this role.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply instructional design methodologies to develop effective training solutions
• Competency in developing eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Vyond
• Well-developed writing, research, and editing skills, with familiarity in applying standard style guides
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
