Job summary

Adhesives Research, Inc. is seeking an instructional designer to analyze learning needs, design curriculum, update training materials, implement blended learning solutions, and evaluate program effectiveness to support growth and standardization of processes.

You will define objectives, collaborate with subject matter experts, create modules and multimedia content, apply ADDIE and adult learning principles, design assessments, and integrate tools like Articulate 360 and Camtasia to drive

Job description

The instructional designer will be responsible for analyzing learning needs, designing curriculum, updating training materials, implementing blended learning solutions, and evaluating program effectiveness to support AR growth and standardization of all processes and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Define and document learning objectives.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, and relevance
• Create instructional materials such as learning modules, training manuals, student guides, lesson plans, and multimedia content.
• Design interactive, visual, and audio learning tools to enhance engagement and retention
• Conduct needs assessments and create training s that aligns with organizational goals.
• Apply instructional design models and learning theories, including ADDIE, adult learning principles, and multimedia learning strategies.
• Create assessments that align with the course objectives and effectively test knowledge and skill.
• Evaluate and revise learning programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with objectives.
• Incorporate technology into learning, such as Articulate 360, Rise, Articulate storyline/Rise, Camtasia, HTML-based applications, and virtual collaboration tools.

Additional Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, English, or a related field or equivalent experience.

3+ years’ experience in creating curriculums in a corporate environment, manufacturing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
