Job summary

Pike Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Instructional Designer to join our L&D team. You will design learning materials that are clear, engaging, and effective, collaborating with SMEs and field leaders to create impactful training experiences.

This role focuses on translating technical information into accessible content, developing eLearning modules, job aids, and microlearning assets, and helping track learner engagement in our LMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools, preferably Articulate 360.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, preferably Absorb.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload, manage competing demands and meet project timelines.

Responsibilities

Job Description
Position Summary

We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our L&D team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about helping others learn and grow. You'll work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and field leaders to design learning materials that are clear, engaging, and effective.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in designing and developing training materials including eLearning modules, job aids, instructor-led content, and microlearning assets.

  • Use tools like Articulate 360, Canva, Adobe, Guidde and Microsoft Office to build visual and interactive learning assets.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and validate accuracy.

  • Help maintain and organize content in our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Participate in feedback sessions and revise content based on learner and stakeholder input.
