Job summary

InPwr, Inc. is seeking a Learning & Development Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain engaging training content and SOPs that boost employee performance and growth.

You will collaborate with L&D leadership, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to deliver instructor-led, blended, and eLearning solutions while driving SOP adoption and continuous improvement across the organization. Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update instructor-led, blended, and eLearning materials.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex concepts into learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, reference documents, forms, and processes.
  • Develop job aids, visuals, presentations, and videos.
  • Coordinate with department leaders and stakeholders to gather information and meet timelines.
  • Follow up with partners to collect content and drive SOP initiatives to completion.
  • Schedule and facilitate SOP development meetings and reviews.
  • Maintain SOP trackers and document control processes.
  • Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Support organizational learning initiatives and adoption of training resources.

Summary:

The Learning & Development (L&D) Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging training content, learning programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support employee performance, engagement, and professional growth. This role partners closely with Learning & Development leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to create instructor-led, blended, and eLearning solutions while driving SOP creation, adoption, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Qualifications:
  • Experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Technical Writing, Training Development, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Essential Job Functions:
Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:
  • Design, develop, and update instructor-led, blended learning, and eLearning training materials.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into effective learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reference documents, forms, and process documentation.
  • Develop job aids, visual aids, presentations, videos, and other training resources
  • Coordinate with department leaders, SMEs, and senior stakeholders to gather information, obtain documentation, and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Proactively follow up with business partners and stakeholders to collect outstanding content, secure approvals, and drive training and SOP initiatives to completion.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings related to SOP development, review, and approval processes.
  • Maintain SOP trackers, SharePoint repositories, and document control processes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, documentation gaps, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support organizational learning initiatives and promote the adoption and utilization of training resources and SOPs.

Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
