Job summary

Buffalo Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Coach - TOSA to support PS 363 Lewis J. Bennett School of Innovative Technology. The role focuses on coaching, data-driven instruction, and differentiated supports in a high-need urban district.

The incumbent will lead professional development, coordinate grade-level meetings, and ensure alignment to Common Core Standards while safeguarding confidential mentor relationships for teachers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and NYS certification in Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, Reading/Literacy or Elementary Education.
• Three years of approved teaching/coaching in an urban district.
• Excellent written/oral communication, organization, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective teaching and behavior management strategies to teachers.
• Unpack and implement Common Core Learning Standards and differentiate instruction.
• Co-plan lessons aligned to CCLS and provide access to instructional materials.
• Lead grade-level meetings; analyze data and plan agendas with administration.
• Plan and deliver ongoing professional development on CCLS, DDI, HOTS.
