Job summary

Lake Washington School District seeks an MTSS Instructional Coach (TOSA) to support teachers in implementing high-quality, inclusive instruction district-wide. The role emphasizes coaching, modeling, co-planning and data-informed practice to promote student achievement and belonging in elementary classrooms.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MTSS framework and how to implement it in elementary settings.
• Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to improve instruction.
• Experience providing coaching and professional learning to peers.
• Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching and equity-focused practices.
• Experience supporting diverse learners and acceleration plans.

Responsibilities

• Coaches teachers through modeling, co-planning, and feedback to raise student achievement.
• Facilitates MTSS-Intervention team and supports PLCs with data-driven instruction.
• Supports equitable learning experiences and culturally responsive practices.
• Provides ongoing professional learning aligned with district initiatives.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to design and deliver professional learning.
