Job summary

JEFFERSON RISE CHARTER SCHOOL in Harvey, LA seeks an Instructional Coach to improve student achievement by developing teachers. You will supervise 6-8 teachers, teach about half the day, and guide classroom practice using the NIET rubric and data analysis.

You will lead weekly coaching, PLCs, and professional development, support curriculum implementation, monitor instruction quality, and contribute to hiring and onboarding. Strong communication and relationship-building are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated record of improving student achievement and student outcomes.
• Strong instructional planning, assessment, and data-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate approximately 6-8 teachers.
• Observe classrooms regularly and provide actionable feedback.
• Lead weekly PLC meetings and analyze student work to close learning gaps.
• Design and deliver professional development throughout the year.
• Teach courses for ~50% of the instructional day.
• Participate in Leadership Team meetings and hiring decisions.
